This is one of my most favorite things...

I will definitely have a framed photo of my little frog at my exhibit.
This is my wild pet frog. It lives in the little upright pond on our back patio. Where he came from I don't know - I guess from the little marsh creek down the hill in the woods. I had others come to live in my little pond, but Katrina was responsible for about six of them dying, and another had an unfortunate accident after one came back a year or so after Katrina. I had given up on ever having one again, but truthfull, I prayed for one to come back, and my prayers were answered. The froggie is every bit as loved as anyone's dog or cat, and he is so cute! In warm weather he either sits on the edge of the pond, or on one of the flagstones, like in the picture. Sometimes he sits half submerged on a lily pad. He sits still when I scoop dead leaves from the water, and when I lean close in to talk to him. I do believe that frogs have a brain and can remember. He knows he will come to no harm from me.

"These Are a Few of My Favorite Things"

During the month of October, I am mounting a one-woman show at the Mocha Moose Coffee House in Ocean Springs. Mocha Moose features a different artist each month, and is to be commended for its support of the arts.
The theme of the show will feature photographs of some of my all-time favorite places and things. There will be landscapes and floral images; some old and some new, but all favorites of mine. The public is invited to a reception from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4.
